Memoirs from the Rear Pew excerpt

Some of the areas explored in this book are the following:
How does one establish a relationship with the Creator of the universe?
How do you know that you have made that connection?
Does God answer prayer? If so how? How do you know?
How do you know what God's will is in a specific matter?

How does He intervene in our lives? (and why)
Why do we have to struggle and suffer in this life?

The walk of every Christian is custom made according to his or her individual needs. The customization is done by the Master Teacher.  We should never look at someone else's experiences and use them as a measure of our own level of spirituality.  Each of us will receive the "homework" that we need as individuals to grow toward the image of Christ.  The forms that the homework comes in vary as much as the personalities of men and women.

That's one of the marvelous things about our Heavenly Father. He knows us completely.  He is perfectly capable of caring for our needs.  He asks only one thing; that we be his children.  We are free as individuals and He would never force himself on anyone against their will.  So, in order to be his child, we must come to Him in faith and commit our lives to Him.  The Bible describes this as being born again.  This process is a mystery to men, nevertheless it happens to millions.  His plan of redemption is simple.  Man was lost through lack of faith.  We are saved through faith ... faith in His son Jesus Christ.  It's His way.

It is my hope that this book will help others in their understanding of how God works in the lives of ordinary Christians.
